Go MDL: In addition to it's Facebook page, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst also has www.gomdl.com. This is the Base homepage that features events happening on base, services provided by the base, important phone numbers, as well as links to other related Base services. Some pages that you might find of particular value are:
Warfighter and Family Readiness Center: The Warfighter and Family Readiness Center, or WFRC is a great asset for the military family. Upon arriving to the base, I would highly recommend that you stop by to pick up a welcome packet. In that packet you will find priceless items such as waivers for 10 hours of free childcare for your children at a Family Child Care provider (FCC), maps and helpful hints about the are. The WFRC aslo hosts countless events to help you in your search for employment, the pursuit of a degree or job training, as well as support events like Heart Apart for when your loved one is deployed.
Child Development Center: The Child Development Centers or CDCs are a great resource for the military family providing child care on the military installation. This link will show you events occurring at each CDC.
United Communities: This is the homepage for the current privatized Base Housing Company. United Communites site offers tours of their homes, contact information, and event information regarding festivities hosted for UC residents.
